GSM has a high demand for experienced CNC machinists and welders — people who can handle complex, tight-tolerance work on materials like stainless steel, and specialty alloys. We also hire for inspection, quality control, programming, and manufacturing support roles.

The work is precision-driven and technically demanding. We make components for Virginia-class and Columbia-class submarines — if that sounds like the kind of work you want to be doing, we want to hear from you.

GSM operates two facilities — 124 Joliette Street in Manchester, NH and 164 Burke Street in Nashua, NH. Both are active manufacturing locations within easy reach of I-93 and the Route 3 corridor.

Both GSM locations are active precision manufacturing facilities producing components for the U.S. submarine fleet.

Most of GSM’s shop floor roles — including CNC machinists and welders — do not require a college degree. We hire based on skill, aptitude, and work ethic. Some positions in engineering, quality, and other support functions may require a degree — check individual job postings for specific requirements.

For precision machinists, CNC programming experience and blueprint reading are essential. For welders, AWS certifications and experience with stainless steel and specialty alloys are valued. SUBSAFE and NAVSEA welding certifications are a plus.

At GSM, first shift runs Monday–Thursday 7AM–4:15PM and Friday 7AM–12PM. Second shift runs Monday–Thursday 4PM–2AM.
